Volunteering at Markenfield.

We are keen to involve our local community in the day to day life at Markenfield and we always need new volunteers.

Guiding

All our Guides are volunteers with a passion for history and an enthusiasm for welcoming people to the Hall and sharing it’s history. You will need to be free mornings  and can choose dates that work for you from our tour schedule. Our own tours can have a maximum of twenty people but we often get larger groups of visitors from dedicated tour operators.

Guide Support

We are keen to welcome people who may be new to guiding to support our main Guides and help them with groups as they view the hall and exterior. You may also be asked to assist with merchandise sales.

Hospitality

We offer refreshments booked in advance by groups or individuals and welcome people to help serving drinks and cakes as well as doing some clearing up afterwards.

We also like to have volunteers on hand to assist with refreshments at evening events.

Front Of House

We welcome people who would like to act as our Front of House team, for evening events, assisting with tickets, car parking, answering queries and helping with audience health and safety.

Training will be offered for all volunteers.
