Formerly the Mediaeval Hall’s Kitchen, the Undercroft now greets visitors with a welcoming, crackling, log fire. This room can seat 35 people for a Wedding Breakfast – or can be used as a room for reception drinks. As the first room that guests enter, what better way to greet them than to have our Caterers serve them drinks on arrival?
Most often used as a reception room for drinks, mingling and meeting guests, following the Civil Ceremony you can lead your guests back to the Undercroft where they can be served Champagne and Canapes.
The Undercroft has access out to the North Gardens and the Orchard over the Moat, so your guest can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Hall as well as its historic interiors.
The Undercroft comes in to its own should the sun fail to shine on the righteous – with chairs around the fire and a welcoming, cosy atmosphere it is a lovely room for entertaining guests prior to the Wedding Breakfast.
