This statement explains how Markenfield Enterprises (“we”) handle and use data we have collected regarding the people on our mailing list (“you”). We collect data to keep in touch with you and to keep you informed of our activities. The Friends of Markenfield have a separate policy for their members.

How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you provide it – when you sign up to our mailing list, when you purchase tickets (either online or by post) and if you contact us for any other reason.
What type of information do we collect from you?
The personal information we collect includes your name, address, telephone number and email address.
A small amount of information can be collected via social media (e.g. your name and the fact that you have social media accounts) but following the Hall on social media is an opt-in activity.
How is your information used?
We will use your information to:
• send you our regular Newsletters
• send you reminders for events
• send you information relating to our work and objectives.
We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations (e.g. accounting and tax). We will hold your personal information on our systems only for as long as is relevant or until you ask us to remove it.
We will pass on your contact information, if requested, under the Government’s Track & Trace programme. We reserve the right to refuse entry to those who wish their information to be withheld.
Who has access to your information?
The Hall’s Administrator actively uses your information. The Hall’s Owners also have access to information on the Hall’s mailing list.
We will not sell, rent or share your information to third parties.
How you can access and update your information
The accuracy of your information is important to us. If you change your email address, or if you believe any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please write to The Administrator at the address on the letterhead. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information The Hall hold about you.
Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information
When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Your email address (if you have given permission for us to use it) is stored in a database held by an online mailing company (Mailchimp). Your address is held on the Gatehouse computer. All possible precautions have been taken to ensure the integrity of the Hall’s computers.
